Follow these easy, colorful waffles with whipped cream clouds to the end of the rainbow, and you’ll find a mini pot of treasure!

Continuing on with Tablespoon’s colorful rainbow recipes, I’m happy to introduce to you…Rainbow WAFFLES!

Can you imagine a more fun way to begin the day?!?!?

These cute waffles are actually much easier than you think, and are a blast to make! Then top them with some whipped cream “clouds” and my favorite little “treasure” at the end of the rainbow – some Lucky Charms!

Cute?

Oh so cute!

Here’s how to make them!

Wow! Rainbow Waffles

First gather your ingredients – everything you need to make some Bisquick waffles, some food coloring, whipped cream (if you’d like for the clouds), and of course – some Lucky Charms for the treasure!

-Whip up a batch of waffle batter, and then divide it into six different bowls. Use some food coloring (I used gel coloring) to make each one nice and vibrant. Be sure to portion these so that the larger colors have a little extra batter.

-Then pop each color of batter into a piping bag. (Or you can use Ziplocks and just cut the end off, OR just spoon in the batter.)

-Then quickly pour the batter into your waffle maker. I started at the outside (red) and worked my way in.

Wow! Rainbow Waffles

-For extra credit points, you can also make some cute blue clouds.

-Then repeat with additional rainbow waffles, and then cut each one in half.

-Here was a rainbow with waffle clouds.

-Or you can go for the real deal and make some fluffy whipped cream clouds! I over-beat my whipped cream just a tad to make it a little ruffle-y like clouds, but you can use whatever you’d like.

-Then serve with some Lucky Charms as your treasure, and enjoy tasting the rainbow!

  • whipped Charms

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together Bisquick, eggs and milk until smooth.
  2. Divide the batter into six portions, around 1/3 cup each, giving a little extra to the bowls for the red and orange colors.
  3. Use gel food coloring (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) to color each bowl of batter to your desired vibrancy. Whisk in food coloring until evenly blended.
  4. Transfer each color of batter to its own piping bag and cut off the tips (careful not to spill the batter).
  5. Carefully pour each color into a heated circle waffle maker to make your
  6. Remove, and repeat with remaining batter. Cut each waffle in half.
  7. Serve with whipped cream.
