
LENOX, Mass. (AP) — There shall be one thing for everybody at Tanglewood this summer season, from conventional performances by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops to reveals that includes dozens of latest performers, conductors, and composers in addition to the crowd-pleasing widespread artist sequence, the BSO introduced Wednesday.
The season that begins on June 22 and runs till late August contains 48 artists of their Tanglewood or BSO debuts, and works by 29 residing composers, together with world premieres and 5 commissioned works, the orchestra stated in an announcement.
Tanglewood, situated within the cities of Lenox and Stockbridge within the Berkshire mountains of western Massachusetts, has been the the summer season residence of the Boston Symphony Orchestra since 1937.
