Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least.”

~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 19th Century German Poet, Dramatist & Scientist

Who, outside your family and friends, is your favorite person in the world?!? A living hero perhaps?!?

Let’s say you get a chance to meet them in person—a full hour to hang out and really get to know them. Just the two of you.

You schedule the time. Put it in your calendar. (Yayuh!)

Would you ever even consider missing that appointment?!?

Unless a huge catastrophe hit, you’d be there, eh?

OK.

Let’s apply the same thing to YOU.

Are you scheduling time for yourself?!? Just you and you. (What a devastatingly good looking couple, eh?!?! :))

Maybe it’s time to work-out, time to go for a hike, to sit in quiet meditation, to read a book. Whatever it is. Schedule it. And show up.

“Hey Dude, a) I've heard of stoicism many times before, but I never new the exact details. b) I've learned over the last few years to worry only about that which I can control. Thanks for linking the two together for me.”
