“When I start my day by reflecting on all the things I have to be grateful for, I'll have a much more rewarding day.”
~ Russell Simmons, hip-hop mogul from Do You!
Here’s a little routine of mine you may enjoy:
I start every day by thanking God for all the amazing blessings I have in my life.
I capture the “Five Wishes” I have for my life. (*)
I create my Ideal Life—capturing the Top 10 goals I have for my life.
I create my Ideal Day—capturing the commitments I will honor, the great interactions I will have with others on that day’s schedule. I always commit to having the greatest day of my life. :)
I capture my Top 3 commitments for the day.
It only takes me 5-10 minutes.
Can’t begin to tell you how it feeds my soul.
Eat up!
…
(fyi: I type all of this into an Excel spreadsheet every morning and then check a box to record whether or not I honored my commitments… keeping a running inventory of how I’m doing. :))
…
* My Five Wishes (based on Gay Hendricks’ brilliant “Five Wishes”):
1. I have fun doing my best moment-to-moment-to-moment.
2. I have fun effortlessly writing and sharing all the lessons I’m blessed to learn.
3. I have a deep, loving relationship with Alexandra.
4. I effortlessly circulate abundance in the world.
5. I have an amazing family.
Yours?
...
So how can you start to feed yourself better in the morning?!!?
